Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will deliver expert patient care across a variety of clinical settings, utilizing your extensive medical knowledge and technical skills. Your energetic approach will help us improve health outcomes through thorough assessments, innovative treatments, and collaborative patient management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed physical examinations, patient assessments, and vital signs documentation to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Administer injections, perform suturing, and utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Manage acute pain cases, airway management, ventilator support, and critical care interventions within hospital or outpatient settings.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical records management and data collection.
- Participate in diagnostic evaluations including radiology interpretation, laboratory testing (phlebotomy), and medical imaging review.
- Engage in clinical research activities, including data management and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Provide triage, urgent care, and post-acute care services while coordinating discharge planning and follow-up care for diverse patient populations.
Experience
- Proven hospital experience in emergency medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma centers with familiarity in trauma protocols and critical care procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is highly valued.
- Strong background in primary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, or family medicine with additional skills in pain management and infectious disease care.
- Experience with CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for billing purposes, and documentation standards aligned with NCQA standards.
- Hands-on practice in hospital medicine settings including neonatal ventilator management, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or nursing home environments.
- Knowledge of advanced procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, dialysis management, or radiation therapy is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on health coaching, medication administration, physical examinations, and patient education. Pay: From $140,000.00 per year
