Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (surgical) - Neurosurgery

We are a well-established neurosurgery practice in Fort Worth, TX looking for a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to be an integral part of our practice. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the supervising physician in surgery but will also provide patient care in a clinic setting. No call or weekend coverage is required. Salary starts at $120,000 annually commensurate with experience.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Acts as First Assist in surgery at various facilities.
• Performs history and physical examinations, formulates care plans, orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families.
• Documents clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.
• Works collaboratively with other health professionals to determine the health needs of the patient and their families. Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations. Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Licensing and Certification Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school and nurse practitioner/physician assistant program.
• Current TX nursing/physician assistant license
• Current DEA certificate in Texas.
• Certification as nurse practitioner/physician assistant by an approved certifying organization.
• Nurse Practitioners are also required to have successfully completed an RNFA program.
