Physician Associate Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Physician Associate (PA-C) with an active, unencumbered license to join our Medford, Oregon nephrology team. This is a hands-on, reasonable-paced role where you will actively manage patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and other kidney-related conditions. Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high standard of patient-centered care with a focus on nephrology and related chronic conditions.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage both episodic and chronic illnesses in accordance with evidence-based protocols.
- Prescribe and manage all necessary medications, treatments, and interventions within scope of practice.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and review relevant diagnostic studies.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising nephrologist regarding patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up needs.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and health maintenance care, adhering to established protocols or individualized instructions from the supervising physician.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (Master’s degree required)
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Usual patient load 14-16 patients/day in clinic setting.
Minimal overnight travel may be required when dialysis rounding

Shift/Schedule: Day shift, Monday - Friday (4 1/2 days/week), No hospital rounding or call
Ability to commute/relocate: Medford, OR: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package.
