Physician for Clinical Research – Psychologist/Psychiatrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Psychologist or board-certified Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership and expertise in mental health clinical trials. The clinician will be involved in working on studies for new cutting-edge treatments related to psychiatric and psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary medical/clinical investigator for psychiatric or psychological clinical research studies.
• Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis, and monitoring in accordance with clinical trial protocols.
• Evaluate and manage adverse events and report safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical guidelines (GCP, IRB requirements).
• Collaborate with study coordinators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.
• Review and interpret clinical data relevant to the psychiatric/psychological condition under study.
• Provide clinical expertise during study design, site initiation, and monitoring visits.
• Participate in informed consent discussions with study participants when applicable.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and study-related activities.

Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with Psychiatry specialty, or licensed Clinical Psychologist with clinical research experience (required).
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry (for physicians).
• Valid medical license to practice medicine or psychology in the relevant jurisdiction (required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred:

• Experience with CNS (central nervous system) clinical trials.
• Prior involvement in Phase II-IV clinical trials.
• Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Research publication or presentations in psychiatry or psychology.
