Physician for Clinical Trials - Dermatologist
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dermatologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating disorders of the skin, hair, and nails, including but not limited to acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancers, and cosmetic dermatology concerns. Practice Details:
Outpatient only practice
Office hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (last patient scheduled at 4:15 pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of dermatologic conditions, including benign and malignant skin neoplasms, inflammatory dermatoses (e.g., eczema, psoriasis), acne, rosacea, and disorders of the hair and nails.
- Perform thorough clinical assessments, including medical history reviews and physical skin examinations, to diagnose and manage dermatologic diseases.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including skin biopsies, cultures, and patch testing for allergic contact dermatitis.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that may include topical and systemic medication management, phototherapy, and specialized in-office procedures.
- Perform a range of dermatological procedures, including excisions, cryotherapy, electrodessication and curettage (ED&C), and other minor surgical procedures.
- Offer cosmetic services (if desired) such as injectables (e.g., neurotoxins, fillers), laser treatments, and chemical peels.
- Educate patients and their families about skin health, including sun protection, disease prevention, and managing chronic skin conditions.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists, including oncologists, plastic surgeons, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex medical needs.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of dermatology, including new treatments, technologies, and research findings.
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in California.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of dermatologic diseases.
- Proficiency in performing common dermatologic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical conditions and treatments to patients and their families.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in a specialized area of Dermatology (e.g., Mohs Surgery, Dermatopathology, Pediatric Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology).
- 3+ years of clinical experience in dermatology (preferred).
- Familiarity with the latest dermatologic treatments and technologies, including advanced laser systems and tele dermatology platforms.
- Bilingual (preferred, depending on patient population).
- Interest in research related to dermatology or skin science (optional).
