Physician Liaison & Healthcare Sales Representative

LIVbetter is a physician-led outpatient infusion center in Wheaton focused on specialty biologic infusions, IV hydration, injectables, ketamine therapy, and advanced outpatient therapies. We are building a high-quality referral network with physicians, specialists, medical offices, and community healthcare partners.

We are looking for a motivated Physician Liaison & Healthcare Sales Representative to help grow referral relationships and drive patient volume through direct outreach to physician offices and healthcare organizations.

This is not primarily a social media role. The ideal candidate has experience in medical sales, physician outreach, referral development, pharmaceutical sales, device sales, specialty pharmacy, home health sales, hospice sales, lab sales, imaging sales, or infusion-related business development.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with referring physicians, specialists, office managers, referral coordinators, and clinical staff
  • Visit physician offices in person to introduce LIVbetter’s infusion services
  • Educate practices on our referral process, services, patient experience, and insurance/prior authorization support
  • Target referral sources such as rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology, dermatology, allergy/immunology, primary care, psychiatry, pain management, and concierge medicine
  • Develop and maintain a referral pipeline
  • Follow up consistently with referral partners
  • Track outreach activity, physician contacts, conversations, referrals, and conversion results
  • Help create and distribute referral packets, brochures, leave-behinds, and physician-facing materials
  • Coordinate with the clinic team to ensure referred patients receive timely follow-up
  • Identify community partnership opportunities with medical offices, wellness providers, employers, and local organizations
  • Represent LIVbetter professionally in the community
  • Support local launch events, physician open houses, and networking events

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is outgoing, polished, persistent, and comfortable walking into medical offices and building relationships. We are looking for someone who understands that healthcare growth comes from trust, consistency, and professional follow-up.

Strong candidates may have experience in:

  • Physician liaison work
  • Medical sales
  • Pharmaceutical sales
  • Specialty pharmacy sales
  • Infusion center sales
  • Home health, hospice, imaging, lab, or medical device sales
  • Healthcare business development
  • Referral development for outpatient clinics
  • Relationship-based B2B sales

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable with in-person sales calls and physician office visits
  • Ability to explain healthcare services clearly and professionally
  • Strong follow-up habits
  • Organized and able to track outreach activity

  • Reliable transportation for local outreach

Preferred Experience

  • Existing physician office relationships in the western Chicago suburbs
  • Experience calling on rheumatology, GI, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, pain management, primary care, or specialty practices
  • Knowledge of infusion therapy, biologics, specialty pharmacy, prior authorization, or referral workflows
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, spreadsheets, or referral tracking systems
  • Experience growing referrals for a new clinic, healthcare service line, or medical practice

Schedule

Flexible daytime schedule. Some local travel to physician offices and community partners will be required.

Compensation

Base pay plus performance-based, depending on experience.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
