Location: Albany, NY

Pay: $245,000 - $260,000 annually

Shift: Days Days + On call

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Endocrinologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

• Provide primarily outpatient endocrinology services
• Participate in 1:10 call schedule with additional inpatient call coverage when inpatient providers are off
• Diagnose, treat and provide long-term care for individuals with diabetes and other endocrine and metabolic disorders
• Utilize latest diabetes care technology including insulin pump/sensor download and professional continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
• Provide specialized services including complication screening, prevention and treatment
• Manage medication therapies for endocrine conditions
• Conduct foot care assessments and treatments
• Provide smoking cessation counseling
• Perform onsite HbA1c testing
• Offer weight management and nutritional counseling
• Facilitate diabetes support groups
• Conduct individual and group diabetes education classes
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team of endocrinologists, advanced practitioners and certified diabetes educators
• Develop innovative treatment strategies to help patients effectively control and manage diabetes
• Maintain Board Certification or work toward Board Certification in Endocrinology
• Maintain valid state medical licensure

Qualifications:

• Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Endocrinologists experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
