Physician (MD) - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Location: Richmond, VA
Pay: Negotiable
Shift: Days Monday through Friday + On call
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide outpatient maternal-fetal medicine services in clinic settings
- Conduct patient consultations and evaluations
- Perform limited inpatient procedures at affiliated hospitals
- Perform minimal procedures including cerclages (20-30 per year) and in-office amniocentesis
- Work collaboratively with nurse practitioners in two outpatient clinic locations
- Utilize Viewpoint and EPIC electronic medical record systems
- Collaborate with neonatologists and nurse practitioners in Level 2 and Level 3 NICU settings
- Maintain board certification in OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine
- Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Obtain and maintain valid Virginia medical license
- Obtain DEA registration prior to start date
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as determined
- Work weekend shifts as scheduled
- Maintain clean malpractice and license history
- Reside within immediate local area
- Complete fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine prior to start date
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
