Physician (MD) - Maternal Fetal Medicine

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay: Negotiable

Shift: Days Monday through Friday + On call

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

  • Provide outpatient maternal-fetal medicine services in clinic settings
  • Conduct patient consultations and evaluations
  • Perform limited inpatient procedures at affiliated hospitals
  • Perform minimal procedures including cerclages (20-30 per year) and in-office amniocentesis
  • Work collaboratively with nurse practitioners in two outpatient clinic locations
  • Utilize Viewpoint and EPIC electronic medical record systems
  • Collaborate with neonatologists and nurse practitioners in Level 2 and Level 3 NICU settings
  • Maintain board certification in OB/GYN and maternal-fetal medicine
  • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Obtain and maintain valid Virginia medical license
  • Obtain DEA registration prior to start date
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities as determined
  • Work weekend shifts as scheduled
  • Maintain clean malpractice and license history
  • Reside within immediate local area
  • Complete fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine prior to start date

Qualifications:

  • Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Maternal Fetal Medicine experience preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
