Location: Macon, GA

Pay: Negotiable

Shift: Rotating 26 weeks per year - one week on, one week off. Daily rounding with on call from home ever

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Neonatologist team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

• Provide neonatal care services as a Neonatologist • Work 26 weeks per year - one week on, one week off schedule • Conduct daily rounding with patients • Provide on-call coverage from home every other night • Deliver care in a 66-bed, state-of-the-art, Level-III NICU • Utilize high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide and brain cooling services • Collaborate with experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners • Work with readily available subspecialty support teams • Participate in clinical appointments with Mercer Medical School • Maintain Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (within 5 years) • Obtain and maintain Georgia state medical license • Obtain DEA registration prior to start date • Complete provider clearance requirements on facility-specific basis • Provide current NPDB Report (within 30 to 60 days) • Comply with all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery

Qualifications:

  • Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Neonatologist experience preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
