Physician (MD) - Neurologists
Location: Ashtabula, OH
Pay: Negotiable
Shift: Days Days (schedule is negotiable) + On call
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Neurologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.
Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- See 15-20 patients per day in neurology practice
- Provide neurological care to 100% adult patient population
- Manage 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient cases
- Take call 10 days per month
- Perform neurological procedures including lumbar puncture, muscle biopsy, EEG, brain death exam, EMG, and Botox administration
- Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation
- Work collaboratively within multispecialty group practice of 60+ employed providers
- Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Maintain Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurology
- Obtain and maintain Ohio medical license
- Obtain and maintain DEA registration
- Participate in continuing medical education programs
- Work with ancillary staff including EMG technician, LPN, and shared receptionist
- Utilize onsite lab and X-ray facilities as needed
- Maintain residence within 40-mile radius of facility or relocate as required
- Complete credentialing process within required timeframe
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Neurologists experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
