Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: Negotiable

Shift: Shared - depends on # of physicians Have UMHW (5 physicians across 2 hospitals); Weekends and holid

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Oncologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:

  • Perform full-spectrum hematology and oncology patient care, including new patient referrals, active treatment, and follow-up care
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for patients, families, and staff
  • Provide clinic-based patient care with 36 face-to-face visits per 1.0 FTE
  • Conduct inpatient rounding on top of clinic responsibilities
  • Supervise infusion services
  • Provide call coverage as needed
  • Work between two facilities as required
  • Collaborate with comprehensive, multi-disciplinary oncology service line teams
  • Partner with specialists for coordinated patient care
  • Participate in research and clinical trials when applicable
  • Work with advanced practice providers and ancillary support staff
  • Maintain board certification within required timeframes
  • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Maintain valid state medical licensure and DEA registration

Qualifications:

  • Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Oncologists experience preferred
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
