Physician (MD) - Ophthalmologists
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: Negotiable
Shift: Days MON - FRI 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Ophthalmologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide comprehensive Neuro-Ophthalmological and medical evaluation of diseases that affect the visual pathways and control of eye movements
- Diagnose and treat visual problems related to the nervous system
- Diagnose and treat unexplained or sudden vision loss
- Perform Neuro-Ophthalmologic testing such as visual acuity, visual field testing, pupillary reactivity, color perception, ocular alignment and optical coherence tomography
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education
- Work within a strong interdisciplinary model of care with RN, MA, Neuro-Ophthalmology technicians, MSW, Patient Support Coordinator, PT, OT, and Vestibular Rehab
- Participate in Multiple Sclerosis Society Partner in MS Care program
- Conduct General Neurology visits as practice builds
- Maintain board certification within required timeframes
- Maintain valid state licensure
- Maintain current BLS certification
- Maintain DEA registration
- Provide compassionate care focused on healing the mind, body, and spirit
- Develop personalized treatment plans with each patient
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology and latest techniques in patient care
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Ophthalmologists experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
