Physician (MD) - Urologists
Location: Ashtabula, OH
Pay: Negotiable
Shift: Days Days (hours negotiable) + On call
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Urologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.
Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide urological care for an average of 17-20 office/clinic patients per day
- Utilize DaVinci surgical robotic system for applicable procedures
- Maintain on-call coverage for 10 days per month
- Serve both adult population (50%) and geriatric population (50%) of patients
- Provide 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient care
- Perform general urology procedures and advanced endoscopic techniques
- Conduct laparoscopic surgeries and percutaneous nephrolithotomy
- Perform ureteroscopy and radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit
- Execute radical prostatectomy and nephrectomy procedures
- Conduct pelvic node dissection and partial nephrectomies with intraoperative ultrasound
- Perform renal and bladder ultrasound examinations
- Conduct TRUS biopsies and fertility work-up procedures
- Perform incontinence procedures and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (EWSL)
- Provide brachytherapy services
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation
- Collaborate with employed and affiliated primary care physicians for referrals
- Work with ancillary office staff including 2 LPNs and 1 receptionist
- Maintain board certification or eligibility in urology
- Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Maintain valid Ohio state medical license
- Obtain and maintain DEA registration
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Urologists experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
