Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of pain management techniques, including interventional procedures, medication management, and patient education. The Pain Management Physician will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that enhance patient quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine pain conditions and treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive pain management plans tailored to individual patient requirements.
  • Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
  • Perform interventional procedures such as injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, psychologists, and primary care providers to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients on pain management strategies, medication usage, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Stay updated on advancements in pain management practices and participate in clinical research when applicable.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Board certification in Pain Medicine or related specialty is preferred.
  • Experience with EHR systems and EMR systems for efficient patient documentation.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to pain diagnosis and treatment.
  • Knowledge in various medical fields such as psychiatry, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, and orthopedics is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in acute care settings or outpatient clinics is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, HIPAA regulations, and clinical research methodologies.
