Physician (part-time)

Summary:

Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to provide on-site services on a full-time basis to the facility. Schedule is weekdays (no evenings, weekends, or holidays) with start/end times that have some flexibility based on needs of facility. Assignment is projected to last at least 6 months but may be extended based on mutual agreement. Assignment could lead to permanent hire. Both a phone interview and on-site meeting/tour will be required.

Physician Duties

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
• Managing medication
• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $152.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

License/Certification:

• DEA Certification (Required)
• Ohio Medical License (Required)
