Physician – Rheumatology Clinical Research Role (San Juan, PR)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Rheumatology to join our dynamic clinical research team in San Juan, PR. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate clinical trials focused on rheumatologic conditions, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor health status, and document clinical findings meticulously throughout study participation.
  • Oversee laboratory procedures including tissue culture, protein purification, ELISA assays, Western blotting, PCR, flow cytometry, chromatography, and cell biology techniques to support research objectives.
  • Review and validate documentation related to clinical trial protocols, adverse events, and laboratory results for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design experiments involving mammalian cell culture, transfection, molecular biology techniques, and animal physiology studies.
  • Utilize statistical software such as SAS, R, and Python for data analysis and interpretation of research findings.
  • Ensure all research activities adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and safety standards.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with tissue culture techniques, mammalian cell culture, transfection methods, and cell biology assays.
  • Proficiency in molecular biology methods including PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, chromatography, and flow cytometry.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations governing clinical trials and expertise in documentation review processes.
  • Certification in ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) from a recognized issuer for California or other applicable regions.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as SAS, R, and Python for data management and analysis.
  • Experience with microscopy techniques for cellular imaging and analysis.
