A medical facility in Brattleboro is actively recruiting a full-time Orthopaedic Surgeon to enhance its successful Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine team. This position provides an engaging practice environment, with an emphasis on a specialty in hand or foot and ankle surgery. The role also includes access to the latest advancements in robotic surgery technology and promotes a dynamic lifestyle in the picturesque Green Mountains region.

**Position Overview:**

  • Deliver comprehensive orthopaedic care with particular expertise in hand or foot and ankle surgery.
  • Operate within a hospital-based outpatient clinic setting.
  • Manage a diverse array of musculoskeletal disorders, with multi-trauma cases being referred to tertiary care facilities.
  • Employ MAKO robotic surgical technology in state-of-the-art, orthopaedic-designated operating rooms.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising 3 Orthopaedic Surgeons and 4 Physician Assistants.
  • Average patient load of 25+ per day.
  • Participate in a 1:4 general ortho call rotation, where a Physician Assistant covers first call from Monday to Thursday, with MDs providing backup as needed.
  • Utilize Cerner Community Works as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform.
  • Benefit from dedicated OR block time and ample opportunities for clinical advancement.

**Qualifications:**

  • Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery (REQUIRED).
  • For board-eligible candidates, please specify graduation date (REQUIRED).
  • Clean malpractice history (REQUIRED).
  • Current CPR certification (to be obtained prior to commencement) (REQUIRED)

- no exemptions. - Active Vermont medical license (to be obtained prior to commencement) (REQUIRED).

  • Subspecialty Certification in Surgery of the Hand or Foot and Ankle is highly preferred.
