Village-In-Place Physician Services, a subsidiary of The Village at Morrisons Cove, is currently seeking to hire an Office Coordinator, where your leadership and organizational skills will drive the smooth operation of our medical practice. This vital role combines office management, medical administrative support, and team cooperation to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient clinic workflows. Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring seamless coordination among medical staff, administrative personnel, and patients
- Oversee scheduling, billing, and patient intake processes
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as collection of co-pays, financial management, and billing procedures using electronic billing systems: preferrable eClinicalWorks
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security
- Coordinate with healthcare providers on acute care, hospital experience, or managed care protocols to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to streamline documentation and clinical workflows
- Ensure clinic adherence to healthcare policies such as utilization management and HIPAA standards while fostering a positive work environment
- Procure health insurance authorizations
- Input new patient information accurately
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management roles
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical workflows across various specialties including dental or veterinary clinics if applicable
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems ; familiarity eClinicalWorks highly desirable
- Experience with medical coding and billing
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Exceptional customer service skills
Qualifications
Highschool graduate or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting.
This role is the first face and voice our patients connect with, so a pleasant and friendly disposition is a must. The position is Monday-Friday; 8am-4pm.
