Overview
RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time Lecturer position in Physics including laboratory instruction, starting in the Fall Semester of 2026 (August 2026). RIT Dubai is looking for a highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic individual. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate 100-level Physics and to serve as the Physics laboratory instructor. The teaching duties may be extended to teach 100 level undergraduate Math courses if required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct lecture and laboratory sessions.
- Prepare lecture and pre-laboratory presentations.
- Design, administer and grade assignments and lab reports.
- Prepare and perform experiments.
- Track completion of work assignments and all experiments performed.
- Keep a record of all experiments performed, grades and attendance.
- Report orders for supplies and equipment, while tracking inventory.
- Ensure compliance with the university's safety regulations and respond immediately to any violations, potentially hazardous situations or dangerous behaviour.
- Coordinate with the Physics Lead regarding matters related to course and laboratory preparations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in physics from an accredited university.
- Previous teaching experience at the college level in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of or experience with various laboratory equipment and materials.
- Ability to set up and prepare experiments.
- Ability to teach a wide range of courses in Physics (and Math) at the undergraduate foundational level including those of laboratory sessions.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse student population.
- Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems.
