Physics Lecturer and Lab Instructor

Overview

RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time Lecturer position in Physics including laboratory instruction, starting in the Fall Semester of 2026 (August 2026). RIT Dubai is looking for a highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic individual. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate 100-level Physics and to serve as the Physics laboratory instructor. The teaching duties may be extended to teach 100 level undergraduate Math courses if required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lecture and laboratory sessions.
• Prepare lecture and pre-laboratory presentations.
• Design, administer and grade assignments and lab reports.
• Prepare and perform experiments.
• Track completion of work assignments and all experiments performed.
• Keep a record of all experiments performed, grades and attendance.
• Report orders for supplies and equipment, while tracking inventory.
• Ensure compliance with the university's safety regulations and respond immediately to any violations, potentially hazardous situations or dangerous behaviour.
• Coordinate with the Physics Lead regarding matters related to course and laboratory preparations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physics from an accredited university.
• Previous teaching experience at the college level in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of or experience with various laboratory equipment and materials.
• Ability to set up and prepare experiments.
• Ability to teach a wide range of courses in Physics (and Math) at the undergraduate foundational level including those of laboratory sessions.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse student population.
• Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems.
