Science (Science/ Physics/ Bio/ Chemistry) Teacher Responsibilities:
- Excellent knowledge of the subject.
- Demonstrate an understanding of lab safety standards when dealing with chemicals or any other science tools & equipment.
- Demonstrate competency in using lab equipment and conducting lab sessions. Plan and execute experiments while encouraging students to undertake individual and team project work and completing projects.
- Ability to develop lesson planning that incorporates demonstrations, lectures and lab experiments.
- Ability to implement Inquiry Based Learning in the Science Classroom by triggering curiosity and fostering critical thinking skills.
- Facilitate learning by using science demonstrations to help students start asking questions and get excited about sciences.
- Use educational technology which can greatly enhance a student's understanding of science concepts.
- Use of Virtual labs that are interactive, digital simulations of activities that typically take place in physical laboratory settings.
- Support students visualize physical and chemical processes to better understand the subject. Relate observable phenomena to underlying concepts by relating to practical work - what is seen, measured and carried out in the lab can be related back to science concepts.
- Engage in all scientific activities organized by the school such as science fair, scientific competitions, etc.
