We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Physics Teacher to join our dynamic academic team at a leading institution in Al Ain, UAE. The ideal candidate will be a native or fluent English speaker with an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality science education in an international or bilingual environment. This role is tailored for an experienced educator with a strong foundation in biology curriculum delivery, classroom management, and student centered learning. The Physics Teacher will design and implement engaging, inquiry based lessons that align with international standards such as the Cambridge or IB frameworks. With a focus on critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and digital integration, the teacher will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of biological concepts while fostering curiosity, ethical responsibility, and academic excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver curriculum aligned physics lessons that promote inquiry based learning and critical thinking.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
- Utilize ICT tools and digital platforms (e.g., LMS, interactive whiteboards, virtual labs) to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Assess student performance through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary teams to support integrated learning and cross curricular projects.
- Support students in preparing for international examinations (e.g., IGCSE, A Levels, IB Physics) with targeted revision and exam practice.
- Participate in professional development activities, departmental meetings, and school wide initiatives.
- Foster student well being and academic growth through mentoring, individualized support, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment data.
- Contribute to the development and review of departmental policies, curriculum materials, and assessment frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialization in Physics.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of teaching experience in a secondary or high school setting, preferably in an international or bilingual school.
- IELTS score of 7.0 or higher (or equivalent English proficiency certification) - required for Arab National, Western National, and native English speakers.
- Proven expertise in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and student engagement strategies.
- Strong command of ICT tools and digital learning platforms used in modern classrooms.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills in lesson planning, problem solving, and student assessment.
- Experience in teaching physics within an international curriculum (e.g., Cambridge, IB, or American curriculum) is highly desirable.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and student centered pedagogy.
- Valid teaching license or certification recognized by UAE education authorities (e.g., KHDA, ADEK, MOE).
