Job Overview

The Arbor School seeks a special individual for an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our school. The successful candidate will play a key role in fulfilling the school's ecological and sustainability vision, challenging students to fulfil their potential within the academic disciplines, and teaching a highly motivated cohort of students. We are looking for an experienced teacher of Physics - KS4 Physics and Combined Science and KS3 General Science to join the Science department in the Secondary School. The department currently consists of four Science teachers, a full time laboratory technician, and four brand new, well equipped laboratories.

We are seeking an experienced teacher with a passion for this core subject. The successful applicant will be able to teach students of all abilities and will demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes. Proficiency in teaching general science across Key Stage 3, ideally with experience of teaching Physics, Combined Science and General Science across KS4, KS3 and GCSE/IGCSE, is required.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be proficient in teaching Physics - KS4 Physics and Combined Science and KS3 General Science. You will form an integral component of the science team with responsibilities across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

Required Candidate Profile
  • Native level English language skills
  • Bachelor's degree in either Physics or a related field, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience teaching science in the UK or a reputable British school overseas
  • A track record of outstanding GCSE results
  • Experience creating a caring and nurturing classroom environment
Remuneration
