Middle C Music is a growing, student-centered music school in Covington, Louisiana. We are currently hiring professional piano instructors for both in-home lessons and studio-based lessons at our fully equipped teaching facility.

We are looking for reliable, engaging musicians who love teaching and working with children and adults.

About Middle C Music

Middle C Music is the Northshore and Southshore's leading In-Home Music School and Performing Arts Studio. Our studio features six lesson rooms, a recital hall, and Yamaha pianos in every classroom. We value professionalism, consistency, and creating a positive learning environment for both students and teachers.

Position Details

• Teach private piano lessons to students (primarily ages 8–adult)
• Lessons may be in-home, in-studio, or a combination
• Lesson times are typically weekday afternoons and evenings
• Lesson plans are supported by studio systems and curriculum guidance from owner Anna Zimmer
• Performance opportunities quarterly and studio events monthly

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, age-appropriate piano instruction
• Maintain consistent weekly lesson schedules
• Communicate professionally with families and studio administration
• Track student progress and prepare students for recitals/performances/competitions
• Uphold Middle C Music policies and teaching standards

Qualifications

• Strong piano proficiency (piano performance degree required)
• Prior teaching experience strongly preferred
• Reliable transportation (required for in-home lessons)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Dependable, organized, and professional
• Background check required
