Pickup and Delivery Driver/ Lot Attendant

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to navigate routes efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

• Delivery Driver/Lot Attendant will be responsible for transporting machinery, and ensuring the yard is organized and clean.
• Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring that all items are secured during transit.
• Follow established routes and schedules while adapting to changes as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Assist with moving items as needed, demonstrating strong manual handling skills.

Qualifications

• A Valid driver's license is required, a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
• Experience operating farm, construction and lawn equipment is a plus
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems; knowledge of local areas is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver, Courier, or in a similar role is desirable.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing deliveries.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
