Pilot Car Driver

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious OSOW (oversize and overweight) Flag Car Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for escorting OSOW loads, ensuring safe passage through designated routes while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.

Duties

• Safely operate OSOW flag cars, following and/or leading modular homes along designated routes, including highways, construction sites, and industrial areas.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, route details, and any incidents or delays encountered during operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• New York State Escort Certification
• No issues with sitting and driving for long periods of time.

Miscellaneous

• 1099 job - acting as an independent contractor.
• The car is provided, as well as a gas card.
• Pay is by the loaded mile as well as hourly, when applicable.
• Layovers and meals, when necessary for the job, are paid by the company.
• Most deliveries are completed in one day. You will be home for dinner most nights!
• Must have a flexible schedule, as our schedule is always subject to change at any time.
• The trucks cannot travel without the required flag cars, therefore it is very important that you are dependable and reliable and that you show up when needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $1,500.00 per week
