Pilot Truck Stop Shift Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pilot Truck Stop Shift Lead to oversee daily operations at our busy truck stop facility. In this role, you will lead a team of staff members, ensure exceptional customer service, manage inventory and sales transactions, and maintain a safe and organized environment. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, promote a positive team culture, and ensure the smooth functioning of all store activities. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations, including cashiering, inventory management, and customer service
• Lead, motivate, and train team members to deliver outstanding service and meet sales goals
• Oversee shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels and efficient workflow
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster positive relationships with patrons
• Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing adjustments, and merchandising
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, payroll records, bookkeeping tasks, and store documentation
• Implement marketing strategies to promote store offerings and increase sales volume

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within retail or hospitality environments
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Knowledge of POS systems, retail math, inventory control, and cash handling procedures
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and managing employee schedules
• Familiarity with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and store merchandising practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrated organizational skills with proficiency in time management and problem-solving techniques
