Position Description:

Provides instructional support, intervention services, one-on-one support services, tutoring, lunch supervision, student behavior management, general classroom assistance, and other duties as assigned in support of student needs dependent on position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and others in a warm and confident manner.
• Ability to provide reteaching of expectations and intervene when necessary
• Ability to effectively and positively redirect student behaviors.
• Ability to maintain professional communication with classroom teachers and administrators.
• Ability to responsibly and respectfully supervise students, accompany students, and ensure appropriate discipline in the classrooms, halls, lunchroom and playground.
• Ability to be supervised and work professionally with classroom teachers who design schedules and daily activities.
• Ability to support students with academic support.

Salary Range: Pioneer Public School Employees Salary Schedule. Hourly $20.04 to $24.66 plus longevity pay at the end-of-the year, dependent on school district experience.

Retirement and Deferred Compensation

Eligible employees are required to be a member of the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems Plan. Employees also have the ability to participate in tax deferred 403(b) and 457 Deferred Compensation Plans (DCP).
