Pipelayer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipeline installation, heavy equipment operation, and construction site work, particularly within the oil & gas, plumbing, or utility sectors. This role involves working on complex projects that require precision, safety awareness, and technical expertise to ensure successful pipeline installation and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for various projects including utility lines, oil & gas pipelines, and plumbing systems.
• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist with trenching and pipe placement.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately lay out pipeline routes.
• Perform concrete finishing and concrete forming tasks as needed for pipeline supports or related structures.
• Utilize pipe lasers and utility locating tools to ensure precise alignment and avoid underground utilities during installation.
• Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks to connect pipeline sections securely.
• Use forklift trucks for material handling and positioning large pipe sections or equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications throughout the construction process.
• Assist with pipeline testing, inspection, and quality assurance procedures to meet industry standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on pipeline installation or similar heavy civil projects.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks.
• Skills in blueprint reading, welding, concrete finishing, concrete forming, plumbing, utility locating, and pipe laser use are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of oil & gas pipeline construction or related industries is a plus.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
• Construction site experience with a focus on precision pipe laying and infrastructure development is preferred.
