Piping Foreman

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Welding/Fabrication jobs with emphasis on quality, efficiency, time and safety.
• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Raising bill of quantity which is accurate in terms of quantity and material specification.
• Being proactive by anticipating required resources and taking appropriate action to allocate resources.
• Minimizing wastage in material and labor hours.
• Attend operation meetings and provide reports on production.
• Manage their own cost center where they able to monitor their own cost vs production
• Skilled in using the right machinery for the Job and well maintaining machines and tools.
• Resourceful in locating resources like subcontractors, material vendors, machine shops.
• Working with the surveyor to received class approval and type approval certificate.
• Adhere to the maritime city regulations of Environment, health and safety

Skills Requirements

• Certified as Welder.
• A valid driving License.
• At least 5 years of experience in welding, fabricating, bedding, rolling, threading and painting.
• Ability to perform Arc welding(must) in addition to MIG welding and TIG welding.
• Past experience in the marine industry would be preferred.
• Knowledge of contact to help get the job done like subcontract technicians, machine shops, drivers.
• Past experience in fabrication of doors, windows and hatchets
