Novatex Limited is looking for an experienced Piping / Project engineer and Machine Shop to support and manage technical activities related to projects, fabrication, machine shop operations, and plant maintenance within Poly & SSP Plants. The role is responsible for project planning and execution, supervision of fabrication and maintenance activities, SAP-based maintenance coordination, contractor management, and ensuring compliance with HSE and ISO standards. The incumbent will also play a key role in optimizing plant efficiency through effective utilization of resources, coordination with cross-functional departments, and timely completion of projects within budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects including pre-project arrangements, execution, monitoring, and project closing
- Supervise machine shop and fabrication workshop activities to ensure quality and timely execution of jobs
- Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment and fabrication works
- Manage work permits, job orders, PRs, SRs, MRDs, RR creation, and related SAP activities
- Monitor fabrication, welding, piping, and machine shop works in accordance with engineering standards and best practices
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution and issue resolution
- Monitor project schedules, costs, and progress while ensuring completion within approved timelines and budgets
- Verify contractor bills, prepare justifications, and coordinate with internal audit and finance teams
- Manage spare parts, inventory, and material-related activities including local/imported parts and dead stock follow-up
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, PPE usage, quality standards, and ISO procedures
- Assist management in preparing reports, project updates, and departmental documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and plant performance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mechanical)
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in petrochemical/process industry projects and maintenance.
Required Technical Skills
- Project management in petrochemical/process plant environments.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, piping, CNC machining, radiography, and testing standards.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or computerized maintenance/material management systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office applications.
