Piping & Static Equipment Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Piping & Static Equipment Engineer to join our engineering team in Doha. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, review, analysis, inspection, and maintenance support of piping systems and static equipment for industrial projects and operational facilities. The role requires strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and familiarity with international engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review piping layouts, piping material specifications, and stress analysis reports.
• Support engineering activities related to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, and other static equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, and company engineering standards.
• Review vendor drawings, technical documents, and equipment datasheets.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, civil, and operations departments.
• Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, and technical evaluations.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for piping and equipment-related issues.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in piping and static equipment engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, API 510, API 650, API 570, and related international codes.
• Experience with piping design software and engineering tools.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Gulf/Qatar project experience is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Piping stress analysis knowledge.
• Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Knowledge of corrosion assessment and material selection.
• Ability to manage multiple engineering priorities under deadlines.
