PISTON DESIGNER

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed piston designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks, or AutoCAD to ensure precision and functionality.
• Create and review technical schematics, system layouts, and assembly drawings aligned with project specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project teams to refine designs based on testing results and manufacturing feedback.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation including drafting plans, schematics, and technical reports for manufacturing and construction purposes.
• Assist in prototype development by translating conceptual ideas into detailed 2D and 3D models suitable for fabrication.
• Support the integration of pistons into larger mechanical systems, ensuring compatibility with system design requirements.

Experience

• Proven experience in mechanical design or drafting within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.
• Familiarity with system design principles, schematic creation, and construction documentation processes.
• Knowledge of graphic design and 2D animation techniques to visualize complex piston mechanisms effectively.
• Experience working on interior or mechanical system design projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to pistons and related components.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and document design specifications clearly. Pay: $67,146.54 - $80,864.65 per year
