Plaintiff Employment Law Attorney

Boutique law firm specializing in Plaintiff's employment litigation is looking for a full time attorney. Qualified candidate will have at least four years litigation experience and is passionate about employment law. In this role, you will take on immediate substantive responsibility and will be responsible for all aspects of litigation. Your duties include but are not limited to, drafting and preparing pleadings and motions and developing litigation strategies for wage and hour, FEHA, and wrongful termination matters in state and federal courts. While you will have substantial autonomy in managing your own cases, we believe in a collaborative environment and you will be working closely with the Partner to strategize and obtain best possible results for the clients.

Responsibilities

• Taking and defending witness and expert depositions
• Attending court appearances
• Arguing substantive motions in court
• Preparing pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
• Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda
• Propounding and responding to written discovery
• Evaluating liabilities, damages, and risks
• Assisting on pre-trial and trial matters

Qualifications

• Experience with single plaintiff cases, class actions, and wage and hour cases
• Superior legal research and writing skills
• Trial experience preferred
• Demonstrates sound judgment
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and witnesses
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high activity environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Admitted to practice law in California

Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
