Planning Engineer

Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-driven Planning Engineer who can elevate project performance with precision planning, data-backed scheduling, and proactive risk management. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on UAE construction and fit-out experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to keep projects aligned with timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Monitor progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal teams and clients.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and procurement to ensure schedule adherence.
• Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks; propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and extension-of-time (EOT) claims when necessary.
• Track resource allocation and productivity rates to support data-informed forecasting.
• Review construction drawings, fit-out sequences, and method statements to align schedules with actual execution plans.
• Assist in planning meetings, progress reviews, and client presentations.
• Support cost control by aligning schedules with budget forecasts and variations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer within UAE construction and fit-out projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, fit-out sequences, and project lifecycle management.
• Solid analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against project timelines.
