Job Summary:

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for solar power projects from design through commissioning. The role ensures that all planning, scheduling, and progress reporting activities are carried out in accordance with project objectives, contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, covering all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Ø Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather project data and update schedules regularly.

Ø Identify critical paths, schedule risks, and potential delays, and propose corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Ø Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports including Earned Value Analysis (EVA), S-curves, KPI’s and manpower histogram.

Ø Participate in project planning meetings and provide input on sequencing, duration estimation, and resource allocation.

Ø Support project cost control by linking schedules with budgets for time-phased cost forecasting.

Ø Develop baseline schedules and monitor progress against them, ensuring compliance with contractual milestone.

Ø Interface with subcontractors and vendors to obtain updates on deliverables and ensure alignment with project timelines.

Ø Assist in claims analysis, extension of time (EOT) justifications, and preparation of delay impact assessments.

Qualifications:

Ø Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy preferred).

Ø Minimum 3–7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with at least 2 years in solar or renewable energy projects.

Ø Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential.

Ø Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycles, particularly in solar PV plants.

Ø Knowledge of project controls concepts such as earned value management and critical path method (CPM).

Ø Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Ø Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and under tight deadlines.

Ø Experience with large-scale (>50 MW) solar PV projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
