Planning Engineer – Job Description

Job Summary
A Junior Planning Engineer is responsible for supporting project planning activities, assisting in schedule preparation, monitoring progress, and preparing basic reports under the supervision of a senior planner or project manager.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing and updating the
project schedule
using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Support the preparation and maintenance of the
baseline schedule
.

Track daily and weekly progress and update actual data in the schedule.

Prepare basic reports such as progress percentages and preliminary variance summaries.

Create and update
S-curves
and
manpower histograms
under supervision.

Collect and verify progress data from site teams and subcontractors.
-
Assist in initial
delay analysis
when required.

Support short-term and long-term planning tasks.

Attend progress meetings and document key discussions.
Required Skills
Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Good proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field).

of experience in project planning or project control.
