Planning Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer with more than 7 years of proven experience to join our project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling project progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule variances
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves
• Conduct delay analysis and support claims and extensions of time (EOT)
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project milestones
• Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Planning Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
• Experience in construction / infrastructure / high-rise building
• Solid understanding of project controls, cost control, and reporting
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Experience in the UAE or GCC is preferred
