Planning Engineer

PLANNING ENGINEER WITH ROAD & INFRASTRUCTURE WORK EXPERIENCE

A well-established Road Construction Company in the UAE is seeking an Experienced PLANNING ENGINEER to join our team.

Holding Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical or Construction Management or another relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience in Road & Infrastructure Works mainly in UAE or GCC countries.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Scheduling & Planning: Create baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.

· Progress Monitoring: Conduct site visits, update Primavera P6 schedules, and analyze delays.

· Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors, especially regarding traffic diversions and authority permits.

· Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly reports on progress, critical path issues, and resource utilization.

· Contractual Support: Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims and risk analysis.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Management or another relevant Engineering discipline.
• Experience: Preferably with minimum of 3 years of experience in road, highway, and infrastructure projects is essential, with specific requirements varying by seniority. (In UAE or GCC countries experienced)
• Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies for road works.
• Experience coordinating with consultant planners is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of project control tools, scheduling techniques, and reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Must be currently based in the UAE.
• Available to join immediately or within a maximum of 1-week notice.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.
• Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of cost control and earned value management (EVM) is an advantage.

Salary Range:

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
