Planning Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer – Joinery to manage project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring for joinery and fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing project timelines, coordinating with production and site teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring timely completion of works.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project schedules and work programs for joinery and fit-out projects.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, design, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Track material delivery, manpower allocation, and production activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Identify project delays and recommend recovery plans.
• Monitor productivity and ensure projects are completed within timelines.
• Review drawings and project specifications for planning purposes.
• Support project managers in resource planning and project execution.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients and subcontractors when required.
• Maintain project documentation and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of UAE experience in joinery/interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Good understanding of joinery production and installation processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and project specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience handling multiple fit-out/joinery projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of resource loading and project forecasting.
• Familiarity with production planning and site coordination.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
