We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer – Joinery to manage project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring for joinery and fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing project timelines, coordinating with production and site teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring timely completion of works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project schedules and work programs for joinery and fit-out projects.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, design, and site teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Track material delivery, manpower allocation, and production activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Identify project delays and recommend recovery plans.
- Monitor productivity and ensure projects are completed within timelines.
- Review drawings and project specifications for planning purposes.
- Support project managers in resource planning and project execution.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients and subcontractors when required.
- Maintain project documentation and records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of UAE experience in joinery/interior fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Good understanding of joinery production and installation processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and project specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience handling multiple fit-out/joinery projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of resource loading and project forecasting.
- Familiarity with production planning and site coordination.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
