Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer with strong expertise in the Dubai construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting to ensure successful project delivery within the approved timelines and budgets.

The candidate must have extensive experience in UAE construction projects and be capable of coordinating with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and management to maintain project progress and resolve scheduling issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project schedules, work programs, and baseline plans
• Develop project timelines using Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Monitor project progress and update schedules on a regular basis
• Analyze delays, identify risks, and propose recovery plans
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Track manpower, materials, and equipment utilization
• Monitor critical activities and ensure projects stay on schedule
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning support to management
• Review project scope, drawings, and contract requirements for planning purposes
• Support claims preparation, extension of time (EOT), and delay analysis when required
• Ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Dubai/UAE construction industry
• Proven experience working on high-rise, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, resource planning, and project controls
• Experience in progress monitoring, reporting, and delay analysis
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and regulations

Preferred Candidate

• Immediate joiner or candidates available on short notice
• Experience working with main contractors in Dubai
• PMP or Primavera certification is an added advantage
