Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Planning Engineer to join our award winning team based on our project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The project is a major Infrastructure development of National importance and pride.


This position is responsible will support the development, monitoring, and control of project schedules and planning deliverables for a major infrastructure programme in Riyadh. The role includes preparing project schedules, tracking progress, analysing delays, and assisting with reporting and forecasting. This position requires strong planning skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams on large, complex projects.

We envisage success in this role to include;
  • Developing and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Assisting in establishing baseline schedules and ensuring they meet project and client requirements.
  • Monitoring progress, analyse deviations, and report schedule variances.
  • Supporting the preparation of look-ahead schedules, critical path analysis, and resource histograms.
  • Tracking construction and design progress against planned timelines.
  • Collecting and validate progress data from contractors and project teams.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly planning reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries.
  • Assisting in producing recovery or mitigation schedules when required.
  • Working closely with engineers, project managers, and project controls teams to ensure alignment of schedule data.
  • Reviewing contractor schedules and planning submissions for logic, sequencing, resource allocation, and compliance.
  • Maintaining planning documents, logs, and records in accordance with project controls procedures.
  • Supporting planning input for client presentations, progress meetings, and coordination workshops.
  • Supporting schedule impact assessments for changes, variations, and design updates.
  • Identifying schedule risks and participate in mitigation planning.
  • Assisting in preparing time impact analyses (TIA) when required.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 8+ years' work experience partnered with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Experience in Microsoft Office, Primavera and Microsoft Project applications is essential. Candidates with experience gained within the consultancy sector on major scale mixed-use development projects will be of great interest.
