Planning Engineer – Interior Design & Fit-Out

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Develop baseline programs, recovery plans, and look-ahead schedules for fit-out projects.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Design Teams, Procurement, and Site Teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Identify project delays, risks, and critical activities and recommend corrective actions.
• Track procurement, material delivery, and shop drawing approval schedules.
• Monitor manpower allocation and productivity against project requirements.
• Analyze project performance and provide schedule forecasts and completion estimates.
• Participate in project meetings and provide planning updates to stakeholders.
• Support tendering activities by preparing project timelines and resource plans.
• Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and reporting requirements.
• Maintain records of project progress, delays, and extension-of-time supporting documents.
• Assist in developing recovery programs when projects fall behind schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in planning and scheduling fit-out or construction projects.
• Experience in interior fit-out, commercial offices, hospitality, retail, and residential projects is preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong understanding of fit-out construction sequences and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of project controls, resource planning, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
