Planning Engineer/Manager

Job description:

Position - Planning Engineer/Planning Manager

Experience - Minimum 8 to 12 years

Location - Nungambakkam (Chennai)

Responsibilities:

Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction projects, considering factors such as resources, timelines, and budget constraints.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to develop project plans and coordinate construction activities.

Monitor project progress and performance against established plans and schedules, identifying deviations and taking corrective actions as needed.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.

Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and analysis for project stakeholders, providing insights into project status, risks, and opportunities.

Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for construction projects.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards throughout the planning and execution of construction projects.

Provide support and guidance to project teams on planning and scheduling best practices and methodologies.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Proven experience as a planning engineer or similar role in the High-rise construction industry (more than G+10 floors).

Strong knowledge of construction planning principles, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency in project management software and tools (Microsoft Project is mandatory).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
