JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Construction Planning Manager develops, maintains, and monitors detailed project schedules (using software like Primavera P6) to ensure timely project delivery. They coordinate resources, analyze progress, create method statements, and identify risks. This senior role requires 8-15+ years of experience in construction, scheduling, and site supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule Development & Management: Creating, updating, and maintaining baseline schedules for construction projects, including critical path analysis.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly updating project schedules based on site progress, conducting site visits, and issuing weekly/monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
- Resource & Cost Optimization: Coordinating with project teams to allocate resources (manpower, materials, equipment) effectively and monitoring cost/schedule baselines.
- Risk Management & Mitigation: Identifying potential delays, performing delay analysis, and developing recovery plans.
- Collaboration & Communication: Liaising with estimators, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and to align with contract requirements.
- Methodology & Planning: Preparing method statements and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 8-15+ years in construction planning and scheduling, often with experience in high-rise or large-scale civil projects.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6, as well as MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, structural engineering, and site logistics.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
