Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and update the Master Project Programme using Primavera P6.
  • Prepare detailed construction schedules, including engineering, procurement, and execution phases.
  • Establish baseline schedules and monitor against actual progress.
  • Identify critical paths, key milestones, and deliverables for high-rise structures.

2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track progress through site visits, weekly coordination meetings, and progress measurement systems.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, delay analyses, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate with site teams to validate progress percentages, productivity, and planned vs. actual outputs.

3. Delay Analysis & Claims Support

  • Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA), delay assessments, and EOT (Extension of Time) evaluations.
  • Support contract and claims teams with planning-related documentation.
  • Prepare documentation for Dubai Municipality (DM), RTA, Trakhees, or authorities if required.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Work closely with project managers, construction managers, and engineering teams.
  • Participate in technical and planning-related meetings and provide schedule advice.

5. Risk Management

  • Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Update risk registers and incorporate mitigation measures into schedules.
  • Ensure contingency planning for long-lead items such as façade, MEP equipment, and elevators.

6. Resource & Cost Planning

  • Develop resource-loaded schedules (labour, equipment, materials).
  • Work with cost control to link the schedule with project cost forecasts.
  • Analyse productivity rates and adjust plans accordingly.

7. Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure planning practices align with Dubai construction standards, authority procedures, and contract specifications.
  • Comply with company project controls systems and ensure document control consistency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10–15 years experience in planning, with at least 5 years in high-rise projects in the UAE.
  • Strong command of Primavera P6, MS Project, and related planning tools.
  • Experience with EOT, delay analysis, and claims documentation.
  • Strong understanding of high-rise construction methods (core walls, PT slabs, façade systems, MEP integration).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of local authorities (DM, RTA, DCD, DEWA, Trakhees, etc.).
  • Experience in fast-track construction projects.
  • Understanding of BIM (4D scheduling is an advantage).
