Job Purpose

Responsible for leading, managing, and monitoring all planning, scheduling, and progress control functions for a major high-rise building project in Dubai, ensuring timely delivery in accordance with project objectives, contractual requirements, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain the overall project master schedule using Primavera P6.
  • Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, delay analyses, and extension of time (EOT) justifications.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline and report deviations, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate schedule inputs.
  • Lead weekly and monthly progress review meetings with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms, and project KPIs.
  • Identify schedule delays, critical paths, and recommend acceleration or corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the commercial and contracts team to support claims, variations, and cost/time impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai project delivery standards, contractual obligations, and authorities requirements.
  • Support tendering and pre-contract activities including preparation of construction schedules and method statements.
  • Mentor planning engineers and support the development of planning procedures across the project.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 10+ years of planning experience, with at least 5 years in high-rise building projects in the UAE or GCC.
  • Strong command of Primavera P6 and MS Office applications.
  • Solid knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and multidiscipline coordination.
  • Strong understanding of contractual frameworks such as FIDIC.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience preparing EOT claims, delay analyses (windows, impacted as-planned, etc.), and forensic planning preferred.
