Company Description

Abeona Therapeutics Inc. is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing cell and gene therapies for serious diseases. Notably, Abeona's ZEVASKYN (prademagene zamikeracel) is the first autologous cell-based gene therapy treating wounds in adults and pediatric patients with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB). The company's cGMP manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Ohio, is dedicated to producing ZEVASKYN. Abeona's portfolio includes adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies for ophthalmic diseases with unmet medical needs, and their novel AAV capsids aim to improve treatment outcomes for various debilitating conditions.

Position Overview

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated individual to take on the role of Planning Specialist, who will work under the Supply Chain umbrella. Primary responsibilities include planning and scheduling for manufacturing operations within the ERP. This position will report directly to the Manager of Supply Chain Operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized and can thrive in a busy environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure accurate upload and maintenance of ERP product data (Item Master Records or Inventory and Assembly items, Bill of Materials or BOM's, Preferred Suppliers, Inventory Classifications, Counting Groups, or any other product configurations) and assure the accuracy of all changes.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain InventoryOperations Planning to determine appropriate manufacturing schedules and the impact to raw material consumption. Cascade all schedules to the Supply Chain group along with any changes that impact manufacturing batch records and item master data within the ERP System.
  • Responsible for continued collaboration with the manufacturing group for processing all work orders, transfer orders and component issuances with the ERP system, associated with patient processes.
  • Responsible for working with manufacturing representation on proper dispositioning of excess material post patient process and ensure this is accounted for accurately in the ERP.
  • Continually assess all product data within the ERP through the usage of action and exception reports to ensure ERP data quality and integrity.
  • Responsible for working with our ERP partner of record for coordinating all maintenance activities that may cause system downtime.
  • Develop and track agreed upon KPI's for reporting in quarterly management meetings.
  • Execute any other assigned tasks as given by Supply Chain Management.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience with ERP master data in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's (BA) degree or combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of work experience in any of the following (preferred):
    • Material ProcurementPlanning
    • Pharmaceuticals
    • Biotechnology or CellGene Therapy.
  • Intermediate to advance level in MS Office is required to learn reporting transactions in various on premise and cloud-based business systems (ERP, eQMS, CMMS etc.).
  • Experience working with an ERP system or WMS. Prior experience working with Netsuite is preferred.
  • Ability to learn reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with members of management team and staff
  • Must have good writing skills.
  • Must have good time management skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Able to prioritize the workload to ensure delivery against tight deadlines.

A normal range of hearing and vision correctable to 20/20 is required. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds is required.
