JOB PURPOSE:
ExecuJet MRO Services is currently seeking a suitably qualified experienced Planning Supervisor to fill a vacancy within the Planning Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervising the day-to-day running of the Planning teams.
- Ensuring a daily Planning Handover is made available which communicates sufficient detail of projects, work status, requests and issues being followed for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Organizing a daily Planning Meeting ensuring management and staff are aware of all upcoming requests and agreed maintenance commitments.
- Liaising with Management, Maintenance Supervisors, and Planning personnel to plan aircraft slots, manpower resources, data, tooling, kits and parts to carry out all planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Ensuring Hangar and Manpower Plans are maintained and available daily.
- Ensuring clear Customer communications is maintained at all times.
- Ensuring customer ordered work is properly transcribed into work cards and instructions and approved data for completion are made available.
- Ensuring organization of pre-input meetings prior to commencement of maintenance activities.
- Ensuring all Work Orders are reviewed to have met the Customer Work instructions, are correct and complete prior to Release to Service and forwarding to the customer.
- Ensuring work from remote sites, 3rd Party working teams and One-Off approvals are managed per approved procedures.
- Ensuring maintenance records are properly maintained in accordance with company and NAA requirements for all products maintained.
- Maintaining a database of customer specific requirements and procedures, such as CAME, AMP, MEL, SMM, training and approval instructions, etc.
- Taking an active role in the recruitment selection process ensuring staffing levels and competencies are maintained.
- Managing leave and shift rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels are available at all times to support Customer and Company requirements.
- Ensuring Planning teams are adequately trained and authorized to perform the functions required of them.
- Assessing the competence of personnel to fulfil their described functions.
- Updating Planning Department procedures to ensure they continue to comply with company policy and authority requirements.
- Ensuring company procedures, standards and best practices are maintained when managing the planning and commercial responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
- Strong fundamental knowledge and practical application of GCAA, EASA & FAA regulations including Part 145, Part M, Part 21
- Good working knowledge of Maintenance Organization Expositions (MOE) and Continuing Airworthiness Procedures.
- Proficient in the use of Maintenance ERP & Software/Tracking systems such as AMOS, CAMP, CMP, Corridor, Quantum, SAP, etc
- Excellent Project Management skills in Manpower and Task Scheduling, Tooling and Parts Planning, report writing and use of tools such as MS Project,
- Strong application of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint) for documentation, analysis and reporting
- Solid understanding of Aircraft documentation and records
Desirable
- Holds an Aircraft Maintenance License (e.g., GCAA / EASA Part-66) preferably with experience as a Certifying Staff in Line and Base Maintenance in Business Aircraft Operations.
- Formal recognized aviation maintenance training (Part-147 or equivalent) specific to Maintenance Planning or Project Management in the MRO environment.
- Understanding of ARC reviews, CofA Inspections, Registration Changes, Documentation Reviews for Pre-Buy Inspections or Aircraft Lease returns
Added Advantage
- Degree or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Engineering from a recognized Institute
- Experience in Continuing Airworthiness Operations (CAMO)
- Type training or General Familiarization Training on Dassault, Bombardier or Embraer platforms
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- 8 to10+ years of aviation maintenance experience, with significant time spent in maintenance production planning within a Part-145 MRO environment and including CAMO.
- Has held prior Leadership or Supervisory roles
- Experience in business aviation platforms, particularly Dassault Falcon, Bombardier Global / Challenger, and Embraer Legacy / Praetor / Phenom series (or similar).
- Effective communicator towards Customers, Staff and Authorities
- Fluent in English Language both written and oral
- Strong Leadership abilities
- Effective Time Manager with good Organizational skills
- Personable character who is approachable, sound reasoning with good Customer acumen
- A problem solver who uses analysis to address situations calmly and effectively
