plant Engineer

The purpose of the plant engineer job is for maintaining and repairing plant units, diagnose and execute repairs/replacements of plant faulty parts and provide day to day technical support for breakdown diagnostics & repair, including risk and failure analyses

• Support the day-to-day responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and meeting the approved budget
• Maintain and repair plant units and diagnose and execute repairs replacement of plant faulty parts
• Provide day to day technical support for breakdown diagnostics & repair including risk and failure analysis
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults and perform the necessary repairs
• Control the quality and time of repairs
• Identify required spare parts, complete requisition and select & update the required spare part list
• Follow up on spare parts requisitions and delivery required for repairs
• Work in multi-disciplinary teams which include plant and personnel
• Conduct periodic maintenance checks, identify faults and investigate equipment breakdowns and monitor the performance of equipment after repairs
• Update preventive & predictive maintenance schedule
• Record working, idle and under repair equipment (hours, daily and monthly)
• Inspect and verify equipment condition prior to their deployment to sites
• Prepare inspection reports and update equipment history file
• Control work performance & monitor quality of work
• Perform corrective action to solve problem efficiently and in a timely manner
• Take part in the day-to-day workshop administrative training

• Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or architecture engineering
• Fresh graduate; 1-3 years of experience in construction field is plus
• Proficient in MS office suite
• Good knowledge in PMV plant and construction safety standards, NEBOSH or OSHA certification is preferred
• Good skills in maintenance management
• Good knowledge in operations planning
• Demonstrate an acceptable practical knowledge in QA/QC management, HSE management, project management
• Demonstrates strong supplier relationship management
• Shows sound data management and record keeping capabilities
• Good ability in analyzing and solving issues effectively
• Well-versed in written and oral communication
