Plant Engineer

Objective:

Skill Set Required:

• BE/B Tech from a reputed college/university
• Must possess 12–15 years of post-qualification experience
• At least 5 years in a managerial position
• Must have handled new machine installations / Key CAPEX projects
• Strong knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation & Civil
• Problem-solving skills & interpersonal skills
• Must have handled construction of warehouses/maintenance

Job Description:

• Managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets/maintenance & ensure operational capacity of the assets
• Coordinate and manage repair and maintenance projects, focused on preventive maintenance
• Oversee efficient operation of utilities including Water, Electricity & HVAC systems
• Maintain inventory of supplies & equipment necessary for maintenance tasks
• Managing maintenance budget and assisting in the design, installation of new systems
• 10% rule: A preventive maintenance action should be completed within 10% of the scheduled maintenance interval
• Contribute to the creation & implementation of best practice maintenance vision
• Effectively delegate maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift & small projects to the right skills in the team, planning & managing effective works
• Develop planned preventive maintenance schedule (PPM) & execute according to the plan
• Audit & ensure compliance of the Engineering Data Systems
• Optimize equipment according to standard procedures
• Safe custody of plant layout, machine drawings, other operational documents & implement operating manuals/procedures
• Timely calibration of plant & equipment
• People management and continuous training
• Liaise & communicate with other departments, suppliers & service providers
• Understanding of quality audits, ISO/HALAL/GMP/Hygiene audits
• Strong maintenance experience in chillers, blast freezers, compressors, conveyors & other common utilities in manufacturing
• Understanding of legal safety regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software or equivalent tools
• Key role in the group’s expansion programs & project management
